Archive’s New Pergolas Make Their Debut!
Today we are ecstatic to share one of our most anticipated event designs of the year! Follow along below as Regina, one of our founders, shares all the behind-the-scenes details. And…..a HUGE thank you to Milena Sefferovich for these gorgeous photos!
For this party I had the privilege of working with the ladies from Aimia and Toyota, and was given a lot of creative liberty, which made this a truly fun event to design. They told us their guests would be spending the day wine tasting and returning to one of our favorite venues, Pelican Hill, for a special dinner party. This inspired the idea to bring the “vineyard” to Newport Coast… which was not without its challenges! The space at Pelican Hill was a pristine lawn which extended into the golf course, which was so lovely, but couldn’t have been further from a vineyard feel. We needed vines! I started with that and worked backward from there. All of the guests were from out of state, and had enjoyed a week in Southern California, so now I wanted to transport them to a Napa or Sonoma Winery for a few hours, without ever leaving Orange County.
Archive’s talented team built custom pergolas from weathered, reclaimed scraps of wood, and surrounded them with Olive trees. Now for those vines! Archive’s principal floral designer and my design partner Krista Jon “grew” vines atop the pergolas, creating the most charming space around our Montecito Tables. We hung a collection of vintage chandeliers over the tables, and kept them low and dim, ensuring Toyota’s guests would have the most intimate experience. We topped the tables with burlap runners, and used our Espresso Bistro Chairs, keeping an overall authenticity and warmth.
Pelican Hill‘s chef prepared a fantastic Farm-To-Table meal, elegantly served on Archive’s vintage china in a palette of rich red, green and brown hues. The most extraordiary finishing touch came once again from Krista Jon, who perfectly captured the Farm-To-Table feel, using the season’s most breathtaking florals along with exquisite varieties of lettuces, radishes, chives, and other farmer’s market varietals. After working on designing for hours that afternoon, I emerged from underneath the pergola to find myself surprised and reminded that I was actually still in Orange County… design mission accomplished!
Want to rent our weathered, reclaimed wood pergolas for your next event? Give us a ring at: 888.459.6598 or drop us a line at: info@archiverentals.com. We can’t wait to hear from you!

This real wedding from Frances Iacuzzi Photography at Heavenly Pond in Los Angeles is one we won’t soon forget! It’s the perfect recipe of a fun couple, family and friends celebrating love, and a really good party! Corrie and Renie made sure every detail was thought out and meaningful to them, and Frances Iacuzzi captured every moment! Be sure to see the full blog post and story and all of the beautiful images here!
From Frances Iacuzzi…. I was blessed to photograph a most divine wedding celebration. Corrie & Renie were wed at Heavenly Pond, a hidden gem located in Franklin Canyon Park. Love was all encompassing: from the vibrant guests to the exotic birds in the pond to the majestic sun rays shining down on Corrie and Renie during the ceremony. It was magical to say the least. As you can see, the wedding was very stylized and mostly decorated by Corrie and Renie themselves, going for a vintage wine vineyard meets Gatsby look.
Corrie and Renie’s company, MiddleBar, supplied all the delicious cocktails and “mocktails,” catering to both alcohol and non-alcohol drinkers. They tied flowers and stenciled descriptions onto all the mason jars and wrote special messages on chalkboards, giving everything a unique and personal feel. Renie surprised Corrie by hiring The Mudbug Brass Band, a Los Angeles-based group with a Louisiana vibe. The delicious food and desserts were catered by Market Catering. Renie and friends arranged all the flowers.
This gorgeous shoot at Silver Lake Farms was designed and executed by an uber-talented team of California vendors, including Jessica M. Wood Photography, Sincerely, A. Photography, and Nicole Alexandra Designs and was recently featured on Style Me Pretty!
From Jessica M. Wood Photography… We choose an “Up-cycled Bohemian” theme in order to show that a wedding could be both beautifully eclectic and eco-friendly by highlighting re-purposed goods and sustainable vendors. Our inspiration came from textures such as worn wood and glass, and our color scheme was inspired by the fresh spring flowers Tara at Silver Lake selected (and grew!) for us. See it all in the full gallery and view the post here.
We are thrilled to have been able to collaborate with such an amazing group of talented industry friends!
Can you believe it’s already July?!? Summer, and wedding season is in full swing and we are looking forward to celebrating the 4th this week!
We’re excited to share this patriotic engagement shoot featured on Elizabeth Ann Designs. Photographed by Love Life Studio and styled by The Stylish Soiree, we are proud to be a part of this vintage red, white and blue shoot that helps celebrate our independence. We love the casual feel, bright table details and summery fun treats. Pie, ice cream sandwiches, patriotic popsicle and Coca-Cola…..bring on the BBQ!
And a big thank you to the wonderful vendors…

You may remember Barb and JR’s romantic wedding at the La Quinta Resort that we shared recently, photographed by the lovely Krista Mason Photography. The couple chose to incorporate their fun travels and passions into their wedding design accented in bright reds, purples and plums.
Before their big day Barb’s friends and family showered her with love and an adorably styled Yellow and Gray vintage bridal shower coordinated by Preppy Chic Events! Barbara’s sister, Adrienne, works for Cherish Paperie so it was no surprise that her fabulously designed paper products played a large role in the decorations!
Here is a look at all of the sweet details featured on the Wedding Chicks, and trust us, you’ll want to check out the full gallery, all beautifully captured by Zoom Theory Photography.
Our Montecito Tables, Mixed Farm Chairs and French Bistro Chairs were perfect to turn this backyard into a chic party venue. The tables were decorated with a large assortment of white, yellow and black vintage vases that ranged in both size and style creating an eclectic feel. Krista Jon filled the vases with an array of cacti, succulents and yellow flowers adding a touch of nature to the tablescapes.
We would like to thank everyone who lent their talents to this lovely day!

There is something so beautiful about a classically elegant wedding and this real wedding featured on Style Me Pretty from Krista Mason Photography and Chic Celebrations at the La Quinta Resort + Club is a stunning example. Deep reds and purples popped in a palette of black and white with amazing florals by Krista Jon, a spread of cheesecakes from the Cheesecake Factory and a beautiful bride and groom! There were so many amazing pictures we didn’t know where to start or stop so, sit back, relax and fall in love!
From the photographer…When we were designing her wedding, Barb wanted to embrace the classic romance that La Quinta offers and the history of the property. The La Casa, where the reception took place, once served as Greta Garbo’s vacation home! The vintage furniture vignettes from Archive Rentals were perfect for guests to relax and kick their feet during the reception. The weather was perfect and guests danced into the wee hours under a desert sky and gorgeous vintage ballroom chandeliers.
The couple chose to have a few different lounge vignettes and lawn games for their guests to enjoy during the cocktail hour and reception.

Spanish Inspired Wedding Shoot at Villa Mara, Malibu by Orange Blossom Special Events + Krista Mason Photography
We fell head over heels for this Spanish inspired styled shoot at the Villa Mara Malibu in Malibu, California and featured on Style Me Pretty. Inspired by the buildings, tiles, old churches and culture of Old World Spain, Brooke Avishay of Orange Blossom Special Events, poured her own heart into the details to recreate the magic she had experienced while living in Spain herself.
We loved all of the elements we were able to provide, including the ceremony seating and altar decor, beautiful pieces of colored glassware, cigar boxes for bright bright centerpieces, gold mirrors and frames. Peony & Plum Floral Design worked their own magic with deep red roses and pops of yellows and green vines. Our Orion Table set the tone of elegance paired with our Rosette sofa. One of our favorite photographers Krista Mason Photography captured the day perfectly. See it all here in the full gallery!
The stunning bouquet by Peony & Plum Floral Design really pops on our Gail Chair! And those purple heels…Swoon!
Our Vintage Farm Shutter draped with vines and florals created the perfect altar backdrop along with rows of our Mixed Farm Chairs for the ceremony.
Our Orion Table , bold florals in mixed color glasses, cigar boxes and globe birdcages on a gold mirror and flanked by our Rosette Sofa and Florentine Chairs.
We are pretty fond of our Gold Flatware and use it any chance we get! A mix of patterned, white and clear china, gold chargers, and lace accents simply complemented the brightness of the centerpiece.
The beautiful paper products were designed in-house by Christy Heng of Orange Blossom Special Events. Did you know that the orange blossom is known as the traditional Spanish wedding flower? That is how Brooke chose the name for her company!
Archive was thrilled to work with all of the talented folks involved in this shoot:

This super fun vintage “glamping” styled engagement featured on Green Wedding Shoes was part of last year’s Caroline Tran’s Propel Workshop. Designed by Wilmarose of Lovely Jubilee with florals by Archive’s own Krista Jon, Malibu’s Saddlerock Ranch set the stage for this colorful and sweet shoot. Pour yourself a glass of lemonade and dive into summer with this romantic camping inspired engagement shoot!
We LOOOOOVE that the vintage bike basket is full of wildflowers, don’t you? Did you know we also recently added a pretty sweet vintage tandem bicycle to our rental inventory?!?!
Remember these flamingos from our Hicksville Wedding Shoot? We kinda like to sneak them in wherever we can!

We admit, pastels are not the first thing we think of when visioning a Mexican inspired wedding! But this real wedding from Alchemy Fine Events & Invitations featured on 100 Layer Cake is everything soft and sweet we want from a wedding but with plenty of Mexican flair!
The couple Melissa and Scott made their wedding a family affair, including their two gorgeous children and darling french bull dog (aptly named Cabo where the couple first met). The La Quinta Resort provided the perfect backdrop for their Mexican themed I do’s and Justin Lee captured all of the details beautifully in his images.
From Alchemy Events….With a more modern and updated pastel take on the classical Mexican styled wedding, we created an intimate boda not soon to be forgotten! This bespoke wedding was full of custom designs we created for the special couple including custom burlap and lace linens, throw pillows, custom furniture, drink umbrellas and laser cut menus just to name a few. Luna of Arrangements is a floral genius and created the most beautiful soft palette of peaches and dusty sages with romantic blooms and succulents such as this to die for above.
More from Alchemy ….With a softer pastel hued tone to romanticize it, we created a warm and welcoming fiesta for this couple, their friends and family to celebrate their love and family they had already created together.
The custom burlap table runners were lined with Spanish lace and topped with hurricanes full of pebbles with succulents, cacti and soft-hued blooms perfect for a pastel Mexican wedding. Laser cut menus on wood grained papers were featured on the place settings to tempt guests as the delights to come! Their dessert table was filled with colorful pan dulce, margarita cupcakes, caramel horchata flan, chipotle spiced chocolate mousse… delish.

Before we say goodbye to spring and hello to summer we had to share this playful spring vintage wedding inspired shoot from Zoom Theory Photography featured on Style Me Pretty!
We had a blast being a part of the Wedding Love Tour (brought to you by Zoom Theory and LVL Events) earlier this year, along with many talented and unique industry friends! We were thrilled to team up with the likes of The Bloom of Time, Kirstie Kelly Collections, Tieks and Sweet Lucie’s to style this fun shoot at La Venta Inn.
From Zoom Theory Photography… This shoot was inspired by the Wedding Love Tour team. We styled two looks; a tea length playful petal dress paired with teal Tieks and also a stunning blush layered chiffon garden collection gown. The pink vanity, arched hutch, glass globes and window pains create a beautiful backdrop.
The bride and groom are authentic with their throw back look, mustache and all. (They have been married for 10 years and are the owners of Mobile Photo Booth. Their photographer lost their wedding images so these are the first wedding portraits they have ever had.)
Cheers! One Hope Weddings provided the champagne for this shoot and have been sharing some amazing recipes for fruity summer cocktails! Check them out here!
More from Zoom Theory….A flower girl in a bathtub of petals and ring bearer rocking in the ice cream truck adds a bit of sweetness. The florals are pale with pops of spring colors with ribbons lining the table scape. Two hearts with an infinity sign for a cake topper. We were lucky to gather such a talented bunch of creative industry pros to create and inspire this shoot!

Be prepared, this citrus sweet Orange Crush shoot is sure to make you smile. Christina from Simply Modern Weddings (one of our fave planners in the OC area!) was looking through a book of vintage orange crate label designs and was inspired by the art, graphics, and bright colors. And so the idea of an Orange Crush inspired shoot was born.
We think you’ll agree, the dream team she assembled absolutely CRUSHED it! Check out the full post on Green Wedding Shoes and even more pictures by onelove Photography!
From Christina, Overall this shoot was an absolute dream to design. We wanted to show a fun California vibe…a sweet couple marrying their crush…and bright colors for the season. This can easily be recreated by any couple looking to add an extra citrusy “pop” to their wedding day!!
More from Christina….For styling our bride, this chic lace dress from BHLDN had a very vintage mod feel, and we loved how the lace pattern mimicked the circle shape of the oranges. Her beautiful floral crown was a perfect fit for the laid back California style. I love how Krista Jon created it asymmetrical, so it stood out without completely overwhelming her head. Gorgeous!!
For the dessert display, the wood fruit crates brought back that free flowing, easy, vintage vibe. The thought was for this display to be an interesting visual piece for eyes to take in the beauty of little treasures that you may find around your grandma’s house, mixed in with delicious sweets…so much more fun than a typical dessert table!! All the yummy treats are by Sweet and Saucy Shop.
To get an even closer look at this amazing orange and poppy runner and other floral details be sure to check out Krista Jon’s blog post today!

We are really excited to share this wedding from one of our favorite Southern California venues, The San Diego Botanic Garden! We are HUGE fans of everything Isari Floral Studio + Event Design does and this eco bohemian wedding is no exception! We love the mix of natural woods and botanical greens that keep with the organic beauty of the gardens.
From Wedding Coordinator Free Spirit Weddings…. The couple better known as Markinique, couldn’t have dreamed of a more perfect day at San Diego Botanical Gardens. They enlisted the design expertise of Irari Flower Studio and they came up with a jaw-dropping concept they called “stylish bohemian infused with a modern mid-century vibe in an organic botanical fantasy”! From the family style dark wood tables and mismatch vintage colored glassware to the mid-centry plates and bursting greenery there was not a detail left out. All in all this unique wedding represented this multicultural, fun-filled, eco-friendly couple to a T!

Vendor Love: Chris + Kristen Photography
It is so much more than vendor love….its a major crush, mad professional respect and absolute adoration! When we first began daydreaming about who we would like to shoot our new team photos, Chris and Kristen were at the top of our list. We hadn’t yet had the pleasure to meet them, but after stalking their website and portfolio a bit we knew we had to!
When Kristen arrived at the Archive showroom it was love at first sight! We don’t want to be too gushy….but she is the real deal from head to toe; a genuine beauty with the biggest heart. Kristen made herself right at home amongst our chaos and graciously began shooting throughout the warehouse. Since then we have been fortunate enough to work with Chris and Kristen on several other projects, sneak in a few lunch dates and we foresee more champagne in our near future together! We are so lucky to call them our friends AND one of our favorite photography duos!
If you missed our Vendor Love post on the awesome girls of Design Visage and our sweet Plum Pretty Sugar robes, be sure to catch up on our day of pampering before the big shoot! And a huge THANK YOU to Bridals by Susanti for the beautiful dresses!
Kristen used our one of our Peacock Blue Tufted Walls as a backdrop and wowed us with her ability to make us laugh and feel comfortable in front of the camera! We always knew we had a REALLY good looking staff (we are lucky like that) but seriously….we have a team of models!
After photos at our showroom in San Clemente we headed down the road just a bit to one of our favorite little beach stops to catch the sunset and enjoy some bubbly before heading out to dinner.
Kristen was such a sport, putting up with our craziness and time schedule for the day. She is really fun to watch in action and will do whatever it takes to get the “right” shot!
Archive Founders, and friends…Regina and Krista Jon.

Kristen, we cannot thank you enough for your immeasurable talent and stunning photos! We are all honored to have worked with you, been inspired by you and best of be friends with you. To many more good times together! Cheers!

The Archive Team
This real wedding featured on Style Me Pretty and captured by Lovely Leaf Studio is everything that rustic and do-it-yourself should be. The ceremony and reception were held at the families’ private vineyard in Fallbrook with a fresh farm to table menu, an endless supply of hand-made details and decor, and lots and lots of love!
From Lovely Leaf Studios… Lorraine and Peter wanted to create a fabulous celebration for their friends and family at their family’s Boutique Vineyard in Fallbrook California. They wanted their special day to feel warm and full of love so the theme of their big day was shabby chic with rustic touches.
From Archive Designer Brittany…What was really cool about Lorraine (the client) is that everything they used that was all owned by the family. Her Mom is a HUGE picker, and they bought the western wagon just for the event. Her mom also built the beautiful arch they were married under (it took her over a year to build it because she collected the driftwood herself). They crafted everything else too. So neat!
From Lovely Leaf Studio….The theme to the reception was farm to table, seasonal fresh food prepared on site by chefs. With vintage rentals and twinkly lights, the look Lorraine and Peter wanted was complete.
To see the full gallery or read more about all of the special DIY touches see the full story and gallery on Style Me Pretty.

Prepare yourself!! This Bel-Air Bay Club wedding is filled with so many beautiful details and personal touches you will HAVE to check out the full post and gallery on Style Me Pretty! Of course, this wedding comes as no surprise to us with Vanessa of Alchemy Fine Events spearheading the gorgeous design that incorporated both the Hollywood history of this venue and the mixed heritages of the bride and groom.
We were thrilled to have the talents of Luna Photo on hand to capture all of the bright and bold colors and happy faces!
From Vanessa of Alchemy Fine Events… For Jessica and Iyla’s wedding, we were inspired by their passion for art and design, as well as their heritage and the history behind the Bel Air Bay Club for this Old Hollywood-inspired glamorous wedding.
More from Vanessa…. With so much natural beauty already present, we wanted to keep it simple with one magnificent statement piece – a custom designed chuppah covered in blooming bougainvillea. Krista Jon executed our vision perfectly by covering the front of the chuppah entirely in vibrant fuschia blooms and draping the top with a piece of beautiful vintage crocheted lace.
From the Bride… We wanted our wedding to represent our backgrounds and our common ground growing up in Southern California. We envisioned an old California glam look, mixed with an exotic flair to represent our Mexican, Persian and Jewish heritage. When we discovered the Bel Air Bay Club, an old California Beach Club which had been built in the 1920s, we knew immediately that this venue had the history, Old California Spanish architecture, and beautiful ocean setting that we had envisioned. We drew on the elegance of the Old Hollywood art deco era with vintage crystal decanters, gilded gold accents and chandeliers, some lace touches, mirrored boxes, and many candles as part of the decor.

Remember this little post about our Team Spring Training? Well, today we are excited to share with you some of our staff’s Instagram photos from our two fun filled days. Big thanks to 24 Carrots, Itty Bitty Sweets and The Ritz Carlton for making our time so yummy. And of course we’d like to thank Krista and Regina…we all are so glad to be part of the Archive family….we can’t wait until next year!
We couldn’t help but fall in love with this sweet little winery tucked into the hillside at the foothills of Santa Ynez Valley. Lincourt features a charming 1926 Sear’s Craftsman Kit House surrounded by enchanting flower gardens and a panoramic vineyard backdrop. A rustic barrel room, grand oak trees and rolling lawns dotted with lavender and roses serve as a wonderful setting for guests to gather and dance under twinkling lights! Inspired by the bright tones in the plaid Midori ribbon (used throughout the decor), each touch featured pops of bright hues with a young, fresh and playful vibe.
The swing was built just for the grand oak tree at the top of the property, made of red cedar, accented with a hand-forged cast iron heart and built for two.
Panacea Event Floral Design did a stunning job decorating the canopy and altar, and, well….that bouquet….we love it!
Go ahead, take another look at that frosting! You know you want to! We will admit, we totally wanted to dive into that cake from Solvang Bakery! YUM!

Archive Road Trip!
At Archive we love (seriously love) a good road trip and we never miss a chance to visit Big Sur! We were more than excited to hit the road, visit some of our favorite venues and gather up some inspiration. Regina and Krista didn’t waste any time, visiting Zaca Creek Ranch, Firestone Vineyards, Apple Creek Ranch and Henry Miller Library. Oh, and as if that isn’t enough, like a miracle from the picking gods, our trip coincided with Morro Bay’s City wide yard sale. Seriously, we couldn’t believe it either! Oh, and you better believe the pickings were good!
We could go on and on about our trip, rustic barns, poppy fields for days and the sweetest people. We love Big Sur something fierce!
Art Deco; it’s the perfect meeting of glamour and retro, mixed into one happy piece of inspiration. Recently featured on Style Me Pretty, this Art Deco inspired shoot was captured by Caroline Tran and several of the participants of her Propel Workshop. Paying tribute to its origin of classic 20’s and revival in the 60’s, Wilmarose of Lovely Jubilee designed this fresh and modern twist that you can’t help but fall in love with! Oh, and the jaw dropping florals… those are by our own Krista Jon! And not that we have to mention the drop dead gorgeous models, but, they just so happen to be none other than Amanda of 100 Layer Cake and her (new!) husband Tim. If you haven’t already gushed over their own stunning wedding pictures, be sure to head over to 100 Layer Cake’s special coverage of their adventure to Mr. and Mrs!
To see even more floral beauty from this shoot check out Krista Jon’s post here!
Thank you to Caroline Tran, and all of the Propel Workshop participants, as well as the wonderful vendors we had the pleasure of working with:

A benefit event for Harbor Day School by Katy Higgins (Cosmopolitan Events) at Lyon Air Museum…YES PLEASE! We are so excited to officially share our newest collection, and what a great opportunity to show it off in style at the Come Fly Away event. Take a few moments to drool over our new pieces (and photos by Tara Sieling!) and then scroll down to read bit from Katy Higgins on this amazing event!
From Katy Higgins:
A massive touch of nostalgia graced every aspect of Harbor Day’s first ever Spring Benefit, “Come Fly Away,” at the stunning Lyon Air Museum.
“Stewardesses” announced “beverage and meal service” and cruised around the event with authentic service carts, serving gourmet “in flight” meals and mini bottle cocktails. Matt Mauser’s new Frank Sinatra band swooned the crowd as guests relaxed on mid- century furniture.
Our custom photo-shoot featured scarves, pill-box hats and vintage luggage, with a throw-back American Airlines plane as an unforgettable backdrop.
Kentucky Derby Wedding Inspiration
Yep, it’s time. Time to bust out the fancy hats and visit the derby. Place your bets and drink a few mint juleps, today we are looking back at a preppy Kentucky Derby themed wedding inspiration shoot featured on Green Wedding Shoes. We loved having the chance to work with such a fun crew and we’re ecstatic about how it all came together! Here’s a few of our favorite shots….

May marks the “official” beginning of the wedding season…and let’s admit it, we’ve got a love/hate relationship with May….but mostly we love it! To kick it off, we’re sharing this sweet vintage wedding by Dandelion & Grey held at the Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club and featured on Style My Pretty. Did we mention that we are (so honored to be!) a member of Style Me Pretty’s Little Black Book? Be sure to check out the full gallery (of gorgeous images by Cami Jane Photography) and all of our other Style Me Pretty features here!
From Dandelion & Grey… Jordan and Daniel are a darling, fun loving couple, and their day was full of love! The celebration evoked a dreamy, classic feel. We incorporated lovely, personal details, from the family band made up of the groom’s dad and uncle and fresh-baked cookie favors to flower petals provided by the bride’s grandmother for guests to toss as the newlyweds made their way back up the aisle. Vintage furniture dotted the venue. Favorites included french doors doubling as a seating chart and an old dresser turned dessert table.
The Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club in Mission Viejo, California, boasts a natural rustic backdrop overlooking the scenic rolling hills of the Rancho Mission Viejo and Trabuco Creek reserve.
Archive offers custom writing on our chalkboards, mirrors and window panes, not to mention we (LOVE to) create custom signs and accessories to personalize your day!

Vendor Love: Design Visage + Plum Pretty Sugar at Archive Rentals Spring Training 2013
This is the first of a series of posts we are really excited to share with you! Earlier this month Archive treated our sales staff to a two-day getaway visiting our San Clemente showroom for our “Spring Training 2013”. We spent two full days together sharing ideas and tips, delicious meals and drinks, and bonding as a team. We concluded the retreat with a team photo shoot captured by the ridiculously talented Kristen of Chris and Kristen Photography.
We invited the super talented girls from Design Visage to our showroom and turned our offices into makeshift green rooms in preparation for our shoot. The amazingly generous team at Plum Pretty Sugar gifted all of our staff with the cutest robes to wear for our pampering.
From all of us at Archive, THANK YOU to all the girls at Design Visage and to Plum Pretty Sugar for making us all feel so beautiful and spoiled!
Parisian Spring Inspiration with Couture Events + Krista Jon Featured on Exquisite Weddings Bride Suite Blog
Spring is in full bloom, and it’s time to get fancy! This romantic Parisian inspired design was set perfectly underneath the gazebo at the Grand Del Mar in sunny San Diego. Featured on Exquisite Weddings Magazine The Bride Suite Blog, this beautifully lavish tabletop collaboration with Couture Events and Krista Jon is oozing with romance and roses!
“Recalling the amorous feeling of strolling Parisian streets in springtime, Couture Events designed a classically elegant French table—but not without adding a dose of eclectic flare. In fact, they were all about the unexpected: peonies and roses pop out of candlesticks while crystal chandeliers lie on the table, rather than hang from above. The whimsical details lend a touch of je ne sais quoi.”

We Want YOU…To Be Our Intern (pretty, please).
We are thrilled and honored to be one of the select members of the Wedding Chicks Hand Picked Vendors! One of our favorite features on Wedding Chicks was this chic desert wedding inspiration designed by At First Blush & Co.
On location at the Korakia Pensione in Palm Springs, a romantic retreat with a Moroccan vibe, the setting was complete with all the classics -a groom in a dapper suit, the bride in an elegant gown and an abundance of dreamy florals.
We absolutley adore these robes by Plum Pretty Sugar! You may remember them from this recent maternity shoot with Caroline Tran’s Propel Workshop and this isn’t the last you’ll hear us raving about them 😉
We’re crazy in love with everything Oak and the Owl creates, and this peach, white and green floral arrangement is a perfect example of why! It’s chic simplicity perfectly compliments the bride’s Theia wedding dress by Lovely Bride.

We are so excited to share this super fun Retro-Glam shoot with Kristin Banta Events and Laura Grier of Beautiful Day Photography recently featured in Modele Weddings! We just adore the one-of-a-kind Hicksville Trailer Palace in Joshua Tree, CA and can’t imagine a more perfect setting! It may just be the next destination for an Archive Team retreat…
Narrative from Kristin Banta Events:
“Staged in Hicksville, a “TRAILER PALACE” hidden deep in the desert scrub near Joshua Tree, miles from the paved road…it was here that we created the set for what was designed to be an all American scene, staged in a “POST APOCALYPTIC” desert setting (think Mercury, Nevada bomb test site), styled as retro-glam in hyper-color.”
We love the use of vintage tins as floral containers!

Archive Rentals Proudly Sponsors “A Night of Discovery with James Cameron” benefiting MUSE School
We are honored to share that Archive Rentals is a proud sponsor of “A Night of Discovery with James Cameron,” a unique fundraising event organized to benefit MUSE School CA’s Science Technology Engineering Arts and Math (STEAM) Program. It will also be an experience of a lifetime, with the opportunity to meet James Cameron and see the vertically-deployed, bright green DEEPSEA CHALLENGER submarine he co-designed and piloted on his historic, 2012 solo dive to the deepest place on the planet, the Challenger Deep.
A small group of attendees will have the chance to view footage from Cameron’s dive almost seven miles deep–35, 787 feet–into the largely unexplored and alien deep-sea trench. They will also have the opportunity to sit inside the submarine’s simulator and experience firsthand what it was like for James Cameron during his almost seven-hour voyage. An organic gourmet dinner prepared by Celebrity Chef and Restaurateur Susan Feniger, with a special selection of vegan cuisine from her Hollywood, CA restaurant STREET, will round off this very special, one-of-a-kind event.
Located in beautiful Malibu Canyon between Malibu and Calabasas, California, MUSE School CA –founded by Suzy Amis Cameron and Rebecca Amis– is located on 22 breathtaking acres abutting the Santa Monica Mountain conservation lands. At MUSE School CA, every child is truly known and seen. “MUSE School CA was established to inspire and prepare young people to live consciously with themselves, one another, and the planet. -Suzy Amis Cameron (Founder-MUSE School CA)”

We have been fortunate to be a part of several of Propel Workshops, a mentoring workshop for photographers hosted by Caroline Tran, and the images that result never disappoint! This sweet maternity shoot featured on On To Baby was designed and styled by none other than Wilmarose of Lovely Jubilee in a vintage bathtub of full of baby’s breath by Krista Jon. On location at a private estate in Malibu, CA, the setting could not have been more breathtaking!
The expecting mom, Kym, has both of her children’s birthdays tattooed on the back of her neck, and will soon add the third. She also has a tattoo that reads “more and more each day”, referring to her ever growing love for her babies. These intimate details, along with the beauty of the natural light, were captured remarkably by Caroline and the Propel attendees. To see all of the photos, be sure to visit On To Baby!

We love getting the opportunity to work with so many fabulous folks in the industry and this wedding was no exception! The amazing team at Gather Events brought together a top notch team to bring Lauren and Scott’s vision to life. Featured on Oh Lovely Day, this romantic coral and peach wedding is sure to fill your heart with love!
Often times it is the small details throughout an event that really set the tone and define personality. We love that the couple chose to use one of our Vintage Suitcases as a card box and miscellaneous vintage frames for their signs
The rustic scenery at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu was a perfect setting for guests to enjoy an outdoor lounge. Shown here, our Valentine Sofa, Petra Coffee Table, and Asher and Julian Chairs.
The ceremony setting was adorned with flowers, greenery, and candles and focused on our Arched Paned Glass Doors as a altar backdrop. We just love this shot by Sun and Sparrow of the sun reflecting from the top f the doors, so beautiful!
We loved all of the DIY details the bride incorporated into her day including the napkins with burlap and drink tags. The combination of peaches and cream with the burlap and vintage books and clocks created a sweet and timeless feel.
The dessert table was by far one of the highlights of the day, featuring a variety of tasty treats from My Sweet n Saucy

50 Shades of White
A white/neutral color palette can make a bold statement. There is something about a clean, monochromatic scheme that excites us a little bit. Don’t get us wrong, we still love the brilliant colors but nothing says chic more than white French tulips spilling out of a vintage bathtub or figurines placed in a display case. Our collections of porcelain swans and coral add a nice touch to our tables. Who knew the color, (or lack there of) white could be so inspiring?!
The Petra coffee table is perfectly juxtaposed by a modern sofa set.
Milk glass containers filled with simple yet elegant florals gives our Galileo display case a feminine touch.
We love the pendants draping over the edge of the bath tub!

Creating Your Look
We know how exciting it can be to plan a wedding but we also know that at times, it can be a little stressful. There are so many apps and tools out there today that can make the tedious work creative and fun! To mix things up a little bit, we created some inspiration boards to get your wheels turning. You too can make an inspiration board at Olioboard.com. This is the perfect way to make your vision crystal clear to your planner and vendors.
Winter is just around the corner and a color palette of crimson, blush pink and taupe-y browns make a wonderful combination for the season.
A rustic look is great for an outdoor wedding. We can never grow tired of old vintage bottles and vintage lanterns!
Here, we created a playful look with pops of bold colors like our teal ‘Gretel’ buffet and fun throw pillows. Candy-filled apothecary jars and string lights fit the carnival theme perfectly!
We hope this could be a pinch of help to creating an overall look for your big day!
Real Wedding: Denise + Giampiero at Saddlerock Ranch, Malibu
See this wedding featured on Style Me Pretty
On a warm Malibu day, Denise and Giampiero tied the knot at Saddlerock Ranch. In the depth of green vineyards and rolling hills, Gather Events created a dream wedding for the couple. From a playful ceremony led by a bear to a romantic reception adorned by gorgeous floral arrangements and china, this was truly the perfect California wedding.
The ceremony was mixed with one of our favorite seating arrangements; weathered pews, french louis chairs and the Wexler bench. Every other row was accompanied by a small vignette of brass candlesticks and blush glass.
French Oak Wine Barrels are a great alternative for cocktail tables, especially at a vineyard.
The Kate Settee and the Justine chair are great for guests to get cozy and relax between the ceremony and reception.
Our Montecito table’s rich color is great for a more sophisticated, lavish reception. The french bistro chairs compliment the Montecito table beautifully!
Our vintage white china pops right off of the dark table. Our eyelet dessert plates look so sweet with a heart-shaped pastry!
The blush glass is the perfect addition to the table scape!

Ceremony Seating Inspiration
After looking through past posts, we can’t help but notice the hot trend of mixed and matched ceremony seating. The seating arrangement of your wedding can really set the mood; whether it’s laid back and relaxed with picnic blankets or sleek and polished with beautiful upholstered chairs. Here, we are happy to share some arrangements that might inspire you a little.
1. Mix of weathered pews, upholstered benches and chairs
If you’re trying to achieve an warm and rustic look, weathered pews and upholstered chairs are the way to go!
2. Farm chairs
Farm chairs are an easy way to add color to your ceremony. Just throw in one or two colors every few chairs and you have a whole new look!
3. Intimate settings
Elopements don’t have to be dull and boring. Get creative and set up a chic arrangement like these two.
Vintage furniture and accessories have given ceremony arrangement so much versatility and uniqueness. These are only a few of many design ideas to create the perfect look for your special day.
Real Wedding: Angie + Nick at the Inn At Rancho Santa Fe
This wedding is very near and dear to our hearts. Not only were we fortunate enough to be a part of this beautiful event but it is also in honor of our very own Angie and her husband, Nick. The Inn at Rancho Sante Fe was the perfect venue for the two to tie the knot. Every detail was perfected from crystal chandeliers embellishing the overgrown trees to soft florals garnishing the vintage furniture.
There are so many different ways to set up ceremony seating. Weathered pews mixed with the Suffolk tufted benches complimented the venue beautifully by bringing a rustic yet elegant feel to the occasion.
We cannot get over that succulent atop of our vintage pickled sewing tables. What an amazing way to walk down the aisle!
Vignettes and lounge areas were set up throughout the space for guests to enjoy on the sunny Rancho Santa Fe day. The Kate settee, Justine sofa and Parker bistro table look lovely side by side.
Lush peonies and ranunculus are propped up by vintage scales creating a variety of height to the table.
Place cards are simply strung along our velvet tufted walls. Sometimes, the simpler the better!
How romantic is the sweet heart table? We can never tire of blush pink glass, especially mixed with patterned china.
Our vintage aqua gold rimmed china mixed with gold chargers is one of our all time favorite place settings!
We are so happy to have shared this special day with you two!

Life’s a picnic
With warm weather in the air and long summer days that promise to linger on far into autumn it’s the perfect time of year for a picnic. Picnics hold a nostalgic spot in everyone’s hearts whether they’ve ever been on one or not. And a picnic theme is a great idea for your company’s summer events, a relaxed wedding, or any social gathering.
A great way to host a picnic is to incorporate classic elements but with an updated twist. Just because it’s a picnic doesn’t mean it has to be full of Tupperware and Ziploc bags. It can still be as carefully executed as a black tie event.
Instead of a traditionally served meal consider having each of your guests pick up an authentic picnic basket. Each filled with Mis-matched china and flatware, perfectly accented with a vintage linen napkin of course!
More adventurous crowds will feel right at home sitting under shady trees on quilts that a reminiscent of their grandmothers’. But sitting on the ground is not a necessity of picnicking there’s always the classic picnic table dressed in a gingham linens or a beautiful exposed farm table, that’s rustic enough to remind every one of picnicking when they young. Or at least what they imagine it would have looked like. And with wooden benches (or our suffolk tufted benches) and chairs all of your guests will experience a lavish picnic that’s full of comfort and beauty.
And don’t forget dessert! Treat your guests to A seasonal dessert display of shortcakes, pies, and cobblers arranged on our vintage cake plates that would make Betty draper herself jealous. And the backdrop for all of this? A gleaming airstream trailer, creating the vintage picnic we all wish we grew up with!

Styling Your Wedding
With the countless blogs and wedding eye-candy on the internet, it’s easy to get caught up in the idea that you can do it all and style your wedding. What most brides don’t know is that there are countless details to take into consideration, and with a vintage look in particular, there are so many options and possibilities. So how can we help you? Our design team is super savvy when it comes to our inventory, and given a few more details about your style, look and desired outcome, we can help guide you to best selecting those special pieces which are going to bring your look together and be conscious of a budget.
So, here are a few of our insider design ideas and tips to share with you!
Little details can go a long ways. A few vignettes or styled areas can tie together your spaces and give a cohesive feel. Try styling the guest book area, head table and dessert table where a lot of the focal attention will go for your guests as they enter and enjoy your evening.
Here is a cake display we added some finishing touches to. A few vintage bottles, vintage books and vintage clocks add to the overall decor and bring harmony to the cake table. And, the wooden cake slab is one of our favorite items this year! Great for a stand, or for a centerpiece display!

A grouping of lounge furniture can go a long ways. Also, very functional, it is a great spot for your guests to enjoy some unconventional seating. When designing lounge areas, a single sofa and two arm chairs accompanied by a coffee table and some end tables make for a great look.
Your tabletop decor shouldn’t be overlooked! With the options for mismatched vintage china, vintage flatware and gorgeous vintage goblets to add a bit of color to your look, you can’t forget that functional pieces can also be pretty! Mixing up vintage salad plates and vintage dining plates in china and glass add a great layering effect.
So, how can we help you bring your look together and style a vignette, your tabletop or possibly your entire event? From ceremony seating arrangements, arbors and all the little details from start to finish, we’re here to help you bring your look together and get you that finished style!

Nyki + Ryan’s Vintage Rustic Wedding
Details, details, details! This wedding is loaded with the most gorgeous little touches and beautiful decor! If you love vintage rustic, you are going to absolutely love this wedding! Nyki and Ryan’s decor was centered around natural elements of succulents, grape wood, wooden slabbed centerpieces, all mixed with vintage touches of golds, whites, silvers & neutrals.
Mismatched silver, milk glass and vintage pieces were used for vessels for tabletops, the sign-in table, and other focal areas for design.
‘Stella,’ a natural wooden desk was used for a guest sign in table where guests shared the ‘keys to a successful’ marriage with the newlyweds. A desk or buffet can make for a great table for these focal areas. We love pulling out the drawers for additional storage and to add some interest.
Vintage goblets were used for floral containers as well as water goblets for the guests. Mixing up natural elements of succulents, iron pieces, silver and glass make for a casual but put together look. The gorgeous florals were all designed by Krista Jon, aren’t these amazing?!
A cute way to have guests leave a little note in addition to a traditional guest book. How fun would this be to display in your living room after the wedding day?! Art with memories, love!!
Our ‘Sonoma’ tables make for great guest tables, but also for a beverage station! Here we have displayed various cake stands & cut glass coffee mugs for this evening beverage station.
A rustic arch canopy was created for the ceremony, and later was turned into the Sweetheart table where the newlyweds enjoyed dinner. A great way to be able to re-purpose your ceremony florals and site! Our rustic table is the perfect size for a sweetheart table. Pair a few padded farm chairs, and you’ve got a great spot for a first dinner as Mr. & Mrs.!
Hanging chandeliers always make for a great addition. Chalkboards with table names and guest seating is an easy and stylish way of guiding gusts to their seats for the evening.
A hot trend we will continue to see this year is the use of wooden slabs for bases of centerpieces. We have great, thick wooden blocks that help feature your floral centerpieces. Don’t you love this look?

Krista Jon Couture Designs created the most gorgeous florals for this wedding! We love the muted oranges, ivories and succulent accents!
Throughout the venue vintage seating was placed for guests to enjoy the surroundings and visit with friends and family. Hanging chandeliers from the trees added a special touch! Don’t forget to decorate your tables, and above them!
Worn brass candlesticks and cut crystal vessels were the perfect containers and mix for the tabletops.
A focal rustic table was used for the cake display. Tall candlesticks with succulent accents added a bit of height to this table… don’t you love?!
A close-up of more of our eclectic containers. The uniqueness of mixing and matching pieces adds for interest and plenty of details for your photos!
An indoor lounge area in a neutral color palette was the perfect spot for a quiet retreat for the guests.
How do we love the details! From brass candlesticks to boutonnieres transported in vintage boxes and beautiful floral accents!

Saddlerock Ranch Vintage Wedding
If you love a rustic, outdoor look coupled with a fine sense of style, coraly-pinks and the most amazing little details, get ready, you’re going to L-O-V-E this wedding! Kristen and Baba were married at Saddlerock Ranch in Malibu. Yelena Johnson of A Stylish Soiree helped the couple plan their wedding, and brought together this fabulous look! With gorgeous florals from the amazingly talented Krista Jon, and dreamy photos from Sean Walker Photography, get ready for some swoon-worthy wedding design you will surely enjoy…
Kristen’s wedding dress was a lace hombre effect that faded from white to a grey-tone on the lower half. Her bridesmaid’s wore different shades and patterns of grey.
The table designs were feminine with lace runners atop natural wood tables. Vintage crystal vessels held flowers in the peach, coral and orange tones. Small succulents doubled as place cards and guest favors.
Tarnished silver vessels mixed with crystal made for the perfect pairing for this palette.
Vintage bound books were carefully placed down the center of the tables in addition to the flowers.
A vintage lounge area situated under the large oak tree was the perfect seating arrangement for guests to relax and converse.
With a dessert station styled down to the little details, and a small cake displayed in a vintage suitcase, this set-up was loved by guests!
As the sun went down, the sparkling lights dripping from the trees were a magical way to finish off this evening.

The Ramos House Vintage Wedding
Here’s another real.. amazing.. wedding with the most gorgeous little details! Ashley and Jim’s intimate wedding was held at The Ramos House, a historic property in San Juan Capistrano. With beautiful images from Kaysha Weiner Photography, you’ll be in LOVE with this beautiful look!
A burlap runner lead to the altar which was a shabby white buffet table dressed up with accent pieces. Vintage colored glassware ranging from soft lavender tones to brown glass decorated this statement piece.
I love the mixture of glassware with books and botanical elements. The glassware you choose to work with doesn’t have to match your color palette exactly. The beauty of the vintage look is that it all flows together for a cohesive, eclectic feel.
The most gorgeous bouquet of ranunculus and dusty miller created by Krista Jon.
The reception featured burlap tablecloths, runners of vintage books, milk glass, colored bottles and a throw for each of the guests. Oil candle lamps lit the tables along with the rustic overhead lighting.
This is such a beautiful look for a Fall wedding. The natural brown tones from the wood mixed with the orange throws and glass bottles is very intimate and inviting.
The mixture of plant materials and moss accents fit right along with the eclectic feeling of the containers and venue.
We hope you enjoyed this real vintage wedding! We’ve got more to come, so stay tuned and check back in often!

Accessory of the Week: Candlesticks
We’re starting a new series on the blog each Wednesday which will feature one of our favorite accessories in our vintage inventory. We’ll be showcasing how you can incorporate these pieces into your overall design and create the perfect additions to make your wedding or event extra special! There are so many great detail pieces we have, and we’d love if you came up with some great ways to showcase these for your own event as well!
Once you get your beautiful lounge area dressed up with upholstered sofas, trunks, and end tables, it’s the final touches that make these areas come together and have another layer of personality! Floral accents on your side tables and coffee tables are a great way to finish off a space, and candlesticks are a great accessory and vessel that can be used for these areas!
One thing you don’t have to worry about with overall design these days, especially when it comes to vintage and eclectic weddings is being too matchy-matchy. I love how the use of brass, mixed with a tarnished bronze look is used above in the tabletop. There are multiple layers which adds interest, and makes for a more cozy and “backyard” feel. Here, the candlesticks were used simply for candles, which added some nice height to this table, and a bit of romance when the sun sets!
Another design use: For taller floral centerpieces it is great to place three candlesticks around the base of your main centerpiece to graduate height to the taller floral arrangement. The more layers, the more interest!
The candlesticks on this table display add a metallic element to this table setting, in addition to some height.
Here, a candlestick is used as a vessel for this succulent-floral arrangement. Just by placing these flowers in this container makes this arrangement, though small, a great focal piece. Isn’t it opulent?!
Or, group a bunch of candlesticks of the same finish with no florals or candles… this makes a statement as well!
Here is an assortment of various styles and finishes of candlesticks we carry in our inventory. What a beautiful display this would make all grouped together for an evening wedding place card display!
