French Garden Inspiration – Featured on Style Me Pretty

September 27, 2011

We are absolutely delighted when any of our work is featured on the simply fabulous, Style Me Pretty!  And what a pleasure it is to collaborate with such a wonderful group of vendors.  We loved A Regal Affair‘s vision for this shoot and all of their beautiful and unique design elements that went hand in hand with our style.  Becca Rillo Photography did a fantastic job capturing all of the lovely details in this French Garden Inspiration photo shoot.  The enchanting location, Le Chene (a French restaurant and venue in Santa Clarita), served as the perfect setting for this whimsical affair.

To create the French Garden look, we paired rustic tables and chairs with feminine china and colorful vases.  The burlap runner placed underneath the china and colored glass incorporated texture and balance in the table setting.  To give varied height and added romance, we implemented different sized vases and candlesticks and placed the sweet florals, designed by Primary Petals, atop stacks of vintage books wrapped with lace.  We love using vintage books to bring variety and whimsy to a setting.

Small, but gorgeous details – j’adore!

We juxtaposed antique birdcages with our vintage chandelier for a unique take on a ceremony structure. A vintage dress form was included for a little Parisian je ne sais quoi.

Our oyster burlap French sofa and shabby French coffee table create a sweet seating vignette.

This birdcage is one of our favorites! Its unique round shape and heart-like pattern is tres romantique.

Oh, la la!  CAKE Goodness really took the cake with this one!  This extraordinary gâteaux designed in a classic Parisian color palette of soft pink, black and white looked stunning on our shabby French side table.  What a beauty.  The ruffles, the buttons! Magnifique!  To add a little extra character and dimension to the vignette, we placed mixed candlesticks on the bottom shelf.

If you haven’t noticed by now, we love to be playful and pair unexpected items together.  Placing a floral arrangement inside the basket of a vintage bicycle, or a striped straw in an elegant goblet are great examples of this.

We absolutely loved being a part of this shoot!  Thank you to all of the wonderful vendors who helped to make this happen!  C’est si bon!
